Limited Scope Representation Agreement for Drafting and Filing a Motion to Modify an Existing Court Order

 

Gavvl Law offers limited scope legal representation for clients seeking assistance with the drafting and filing of a motion to modify an existing court order. This limited scope service allows clients to retain professional legal assistance for a specific aspect of their case while managing other parts of the case independently.

 

Scope of Services: 
Under this limited scope representation agreement, Gavvl Law will provide the following services:

  1. Consultation: Initial review and consultation to understand the client's needs and objectives for modifying the court order.
  2. Document Preparation: Drafting of the Motion to Modify an Existing Court Order, including any necessary affidavits, exhibits, or supporting documents.
  3. Filing the Motion: Gavvl Law will file the motion with the appropriate court on behalf of the client. The filing fee will be invoiced separately and will vary based on the specific county.
  4. Guidance on Next Steps: Provide the client with instructions on how to handle court appearances, further filings, or other procedural requirements, if applicable.

 

Exclusions:
This limited scope agreement does not include:

  • -Representation at court hearings or any in-person court appearances.
  • Handling of additional or follow-up legal issues beyond the scope of the drafted and filed motion.
  • Ongoing legal advice or representation after the filing of the motion unless a separate agreement is made.

 

Fees and Costs:

  • Flat Fee for Service: Gavvl Law charges a flat fee for the drafting and filing of the motion. This fee covers all work up to the point of filing.
  • Filing Fee: The court's filing fee is invoiced separately and will depend on the county in which the motion is filed. Clients will be informed of the exact filing fee in advance based on their county’s requirements.
  • Optional Add-Ons: Additional services, such as representation at court hearings, are available at an additional cost if the client wishes to expand the scope of representation.

 

Termination of Representation:
Upon the successful filing of the motion and the provision of instructions on next steps, Gavvl Law's representation will conclude unless the client requests additional services under a separate agreement.

 

This limited scope representation provides clients with a cost-effective way to access professional legal services while retaining control over other aspects of their case. Should the client require further assistance or full representation, Gavvl Law remains available to discuss expanded legal support.
